Volunteers
Duties of the volunteer
PRE-FESTIVAL
Help fill the filmmakers’ swag bags and perform other office tasks.
Administrative Help
Help fill the filmmakers’ swag bags and perform other office tasks.
Marketing
Place promotional posters around town.
DURING THE FESTIVAL
Serve as group leader for screenings and events. Must have good organizational skills and work well with others.
Venue Manager
Serve as group leader for screenings and events. Must have good organizational skills and work well with others.
Merchandise
Sell CHCIFF merchandise at screenings and events. Keep track of inventory and purchases.
Theatre Crew: Box Office, Ushers, Ticket Collectors
Assist venue manager with selling tickets, setup, seating, clean up, and/or providing general information.
Volunteer Perks - (Passes)
Thank you for deciding to volunteer for the Annual COMPTON’S HUB CITY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL!
Each volunteer will be given a Festival 5-pack, which can be used at any screening during the week of the Festival and is invited to a Staff & Volunteer Thank-You Reception on August 11th.
All volunteers must attend an orientation session where you will be given a volunteer booklet, event and job descriptions, and sign-up sheets with dates and times for all events. These sessions will take place mid- to late August. We will be in touch with more information as the Festival gets closer.
PLEASE NOTE: CHCIFF requests you sign up for a minimum of three shifts during the Festival, which takes place August 8-11th, 2024.
