How to enter?

SUBMISSIONS

Although the art of filmmaking is not competitive, Compton’s Hub City International Film Festival does give awards. The festival jury will present awards to films selected as best in these categories: Documentary, Animation, Foreign, VR360, Feature, “Made In Compton”, “Screenplay”, Music Video/ Soundtrack and Film Shorts Awards (30 min or less).

A complete entry form and an entry fee must accompany each film or video submitted. We accept works shot on 35mm, 16mm, HD or DV for screening, however entries must be submitted on DVD in either NTSC or PAL/SEACAM format. Foreign language work must be dubbed or subtitled in English. In addition to your entry, please enclose a written description or synopsis. We strongly encourage you to include at least one black and white photo still or digital image as well as any press kits, reviews, or publicity materials you might have. Student films must include proof of enrollment (student ID, Course enrollment, etc.)

Works-in-progress will be considered for the festival provided they will be completed no later than July 25th (Students Free until May 1, 2024). Works-in-progress (i.e. interlock, rough cuts) cannot be screened at the festival. Please send only one entry per DVD.

COMPTON’S HUB CITY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL cumulates Sunday afternoon with the announcement of the audience favorite, a wrap party with food and beverages, followed by a final showing of the award winner.

There will be an opening party on Friday for the Producers, Directors, Sponsors and VIP ticket holders.

There will be 3 levels of tickets:

ALLDAY

which will be a day pass for films of the day

Dollarhide Special

ticket will include all the films and the Sunday awards ceremonies and wrap party

HUBCITY VIP

ticket will be a special sponsorship and include all the films, choice of workshops, a special Opening Party and as well as the Sunday awards ceremony and wrap party.
